City’s technology services division
wins “excellence” award
For the fourth time, the City of Moreno Valley's Technology Services Division has received an Award of Excellence from the Municipal Information Systems Association of California (MISAC), for Excellence in Information Technology Practices.
The award means that the City of Moreno Valley's Technology Division has demonstrated excellence in the areas of Budgeting, Purchasing, Operations & Staffing, Customer Satisfaction, Internet, Project Management, Professional Development, Security, Base Level Services, and Disaster Preparation and Recovery.
“This is the fourth year that MISAC has selected Moreno Valley for this award and the second year of achievement at the highest level,” said Betsy Adams, Administrative Services Director.
Moreno Valley's Technology Services staff is responsible for the maintenance and operations of the city's computer network and telecommunications systems. The city's technology services staff includes Lea Deesing, Richard Kerckhoff, David Ebarra, Dori Lienhard, Michael Heslin, Scott Simmons, Gordon McDonald, Terry Streich, Joe Lara, Stephen Jarrett, Nick Thouas, Denise Hansen and Dale Mendenhall.
MISAC represents computer and systems professionals in all of the cities and special districts of California. The organization also serves as an advisory body to the League of California Cities.
